The lodge already handles the structure, the food and the boat — so your bag can be light and focused. Here's what actually matters for a week of Amazon fishing.
Clothing for heat and sun
Long-sleeve UV shirts, light trousers, a cap or hat, and a comfortable change for the lodge. Afternoons are hot and the sun on the river is strong all day.
Protection (the non-negotiables)
High-SPF sunscreen, insect repellent, polarized sunglasses and a sun glove. Polarized lenses aren't a luxury: they let you see the fish and the structure in the water.
Gear: what to bring
Bring your favorite rods and reels and your confidence lures. The equipped boat, life vest, cooler, fuel and live bait are already included — so focus on what's personal.
Documents, health and connectivity
Photo ID, your regular medication and basic first-aid items. There's satellite internet at the lodge, but tell family and work the signal is for emergencies.
Quick checklist
UV clothing · cap · polarized glasses · sunscreen · repellent · rods and reels · lures · ID · medication · camera. Sucunduri handles the rest.
